Teams rely on Mailchimp to send newsletters, manage audiences, and measure performance. It’s the execution layer where newsletters reach the inbox and results are tracked. Before anything is sent, newsletters go through a preparation phase. Content is assembled, layouts are finalized, editorial decisions are reviewed, and monetized placements are approved, often across multiple people and tools. This is the phase Letterhead was built for.

Today, we’re introducing the Letterhead + Mailchimp integration, which lets teams prepare newsletters in Letterhead and send them through Mailchimp without migrating audiences or changing their existing sending infrastructure.

Preparation and execution, clearly defined

Newsletter programs depend on two distinct phases of work: preparation and execution.

Mailchimp is designed for execution. It manages audiences, handles sending, and captures delivery and performance metrics. In parallel, Letterhead is where newsletters take shape, from design and curation through final review, bringing together editorial content, layout decisions, and monetized placements in a single workflow.

This integration connects those phases without blurring responsibilities. Letterhead prepares the newsletter. Mailchimp executes the send and remains the system of record for audiences.

What you can do with the Mailchimp integration

With Mailchimp selected as your sender at the company or organization level, teams can create newsletters entirely in Letterhead and deliver them through Mailchimp when they’re ready to send. There’s no need to switch tools or rebuild workflows. Newsletter creation happens fully inside Letterhead, using the same design, curation, and customization tools teams already rely on to assemble content, shape layouts, and finalize editorial and monetized placements.

Mailchimp continues to handle audience management and delivery, while Letterhead remains the workspace where newsletters are brought together and prepared for execution. Once newsletters are sent through Mailchimp, Letterhead captures basic open and click metrics. This performance data appears alongside the preparation workflow in Letterhead, giving teams visibility into how their finished newsletters perform once they’re executed.

Getting started

The Letterhead + Mailchimp integration is available now. If your team already sends newsletters through Mailchimp and wants a clearer, more structured way to prepare them beforehand, you can select Mailchimp as your sender at the organization level and get started.
