See every subscriber’s journey clearly with Activity Log

When engagement dips or delivery questions come up, you need facts, not guesses. Jumping between reports, exports, and ESP dashboards wastes time and rarely gives you the full story. Most teams end up piecing together data from multiple tools, hoping to reconstruct what actually happened. It’s slow, frustrating, and erodes confidence in your metrics. That’s why we built Activity Log to be a single, searchable record of every subscriber interaction. Each open, click, bounce, and unsubscribe is captured with a timestamp and linked to the exact newsletter it came from.

How it works

Newsletter teams need visibility they can trust. Activity Log serves as a shared source of truth for audience behavior, giving teams visibility into engagement (opens, clicks) patterns and signals around loyal or inactive readers.

You’ll find the Activity Log on each subscriber’s Audience Profile page. It shows a chronological record of every tracked event with timestamps and links to the exact newsletters they came from.By default, you’ll see the most recent 30 days of activity, but older data is always available for audits or long-term analysis. You can filter by event type or date range to get to the right answer fast. This means when engagement dips, editors can check who opened, clicked, or dropped off. And when it’s time to evaluate overall health, teams can see trends across the full subscriber lifecycle.

Why it matters

Activity Log isn’t just another analytics feature. It’s the foundation for data confidence across Letterhead, which becomes even more critical when brands run newsletters at scale.

When everyone can see the same verified engagement record, there’s no guesswork, no back-and-forth, and no second-guessing the numbers. This visibility builds trust between teams, strengthens compliance, and unlocks smarter decision-making across the board. It also sets the groundwork for what’s next: engagement scoring, churn prediction, and AI-powered content insights built on this same event data.
